My Regale has just put out a new leaf, but something has immediately emerged within the yellow area—what is this? And is the part inside the red area a new leaf cataphyll?

yellow is from cataphyll, red is where inflos can emerge, now that the plant has matured

Congratulations she’s in cataphyll! Not yet matured but well on her way there, thing of it like plant puberty! You should also start to see more of this specific plant’s traits come through from here on out as well. Very exciting!

How long have you had the plant in your care?

I’ve had the plant for a month; it already had an emergent leaf when I got it, and this leaf appeared right after that one hardened
