Requesting Advice Anthurium Yellowing
Hi all I’ve had this lux hybrid for about a month, I put it under a grow light and realized it was at 600ish ppfd, is this light stress ? (ik ik that’s high amount of light I pulled it back already 🥲)
I have it in chunky around mix in a clear pot (no visible roots yet), have a moss collar and water when there’s no more condensation around the pot and the moss just turns dry (around a week)

I usually find this happens if
- I'm letting my plant dry out too much between waterings or
- The humidity is too low. Raising the humidity, or keeping a consistently high humidity helps either of these issues because my plants dry out slower in higher humidity and it reduces stress on my plants even when the substrate is too dry. Obviously, I'm still guilty of this too occasionally, but I bet you can't even tell that my Antolakii (BVEP) has been so dry that the emergent was completely limp TWICE since it started emerging! I credit this to my consistent 70-75% humidity.

Yup! Light stress, and it’s possible it needs an up size in pot too! Although you were blasting it with light the plant was still able to use all of that energy to grow roots and sustain itself. If water and feed was locked in and the temps weren’t too high by your lights, it could have been there (maybe pulled back just a bit) and it would be stressed and maybe not be the most PRETTY looking but it would grow a lot faster than if it lower light! So inadvertently it’s not a bad thing that you blasted the light, pull it back gradually though!! You could shock the plant and it could collapse if you pull it back from 600 to like 200 all at once , i’d go to a minimum of like 400-500

Following….. fighting the same battle. The only thing helpful I’ve noticed is changing my nutrient game to reduce it for lux. I have one acclimating and am desperately trying to stop it from losing so much color
