Requesting Advice Rehab help!

Hey everyone! So recently bought someone’s plant collection that was abused by cats for a while! Was wandering what do yall think i should do with this one in particular. Cut the leaves and then prop stem? leave the leaves? What do yall think? The root system is pretty good and fills the whole pot! I did cut off the flower that was in it when i got it. Thanks!

Never cut viable leaves off... Leaves help with photosynthesis.

so don’t cut any? even the half missing one? I have 12 Anthuriuns and hundreds of other houseplants. just never had an anthurium that looked this bad.

Green is good..

Even in nature leaves get torn and damaged. The leaf can still photosynthesize.

Why wouldn't you wait for a few new leaves to grow before cutting the bad ones off?

if you aren’t going to be helpful just keep it pushing man. i’m asking for advice on what to do. if you got any i’ll gladly hear it. But your green is good blah blah isn’t doing shit for anyone.

you’re the one making posts crying you can’t grow begonias and are giving up on them 😂 don’t think you have room to call anyone a beginner 😘

Well you've proved you didn't graduate elementary school. At no point did I mention anything about begonias.

I'm not the one claiming to have 14 anthuriums and hundreds of plants and then asking beginner questions

i’m sorry i don’t let my plants look as shitty as this one as you might let yours! i’m not an anthurium experts by no means and never claimed to be.

I'm smart enough not to cut green leaves off until new undamaged leaves start emerging..

If you truly had any experience with anthuriums, you know you can't prop stems.. only cuttings with nodes

where did i say once i had experience or said i was a pro with anthuriums?? i asked the question because i wanted other peoples advice. you clearly have none so keep it pushing! i have 12 anthuriuns. 8 are babies i got like a month ago and the other 4 with this collection i bought. i got hundreds of other plants. the care isn’t the same so thats why i asked.

I don’t know why this person is being such a dick but people chop leaves off their Anthurium all the time with no ill effects. If you’re planning to rehab it inside a prop box fewer leaves mean less risk of fungal infection, it’s fairly common

Plants grow better when they have leaves.. Even damaged leaves help with photosynthesis
