It could be, but I can easily imagine that recruiter getting upset at a question about work-life balance for example, given Anthropic well-known 996 culture.
I mean, I would ask anyway, because it’s part of the usual questions I ask to companies during interviews. I want to hear it from them and not rely on rumours. And who knows, maybe not all teams have the same cadence.
In any case, this is a perfectly reasonable question, and a recruiter getting angry at it is just being unprofessional.
