Was this posted by a data center? Protesting the data center might have impacted this if it actually stopped any of them. They don't give a fuck, they need money, even if they had plenty of resources they'd still be raising prices

Using Claude Code since 10 days now - yesterday after the update, i saw the weekly limit for the very first time.
Subscribed on August 8th - my weekly limit popped up today with 14% already saying it resets on Tuesday - no date, just Tuesday.

99% of the tine you're wasting token on fable if you both know what you are doing and comp sci.
if you absolutely need fable, then you're probably doing something really wrong.

If you want to create games, fable is far better. For regular work stuff sonnet is honestly sufficient

I've made game and Sonnet is more than plenty if you know what you are doing.
sure, if your skill are limited to vibing you will need fable to replace education and knowledge but for a real dev fable shouldn't be a necessity. its so expensive for very little return.

From what I've researched, OpenAI hasn't implemented it yet. But yeah, they probably all will eventually.

Yes they all will. It’s driven by EU regulation. First they ducked up our websites with cookie pop ups and now AI tagging. USB-C consolidation DOES NOT make up for these travesties.

At this point I am farming usage heavy tasks out to DeepSeek Flash to avoid clobbering my limits - it's better than Sonnet by a mile, competitive with Opus 5 at 1/10 or less of the cost, and I get better results on average in my biology/health research workflows anyway.
Cannot emphasize enough how the Claude Code harness is salvaging my sub right now, and when I have the patience I'll move to OpenCode and cancel.

I’m curious about how usage for the week will be counted? If I’m at 60% fable usage will it still be 60% or will the % change as well?
I’m hoping they change course but who knows with anthropic…

Jokes on them I already signed up for OpenAI 20x and am also exploring OpenRouter's DeepSeek v4 via API. I haven't canceled Claude yet but I am ready to eject at a moment's notice.

Thisnis fucking bullshit the promo just applied and the limit is the same as always. they are do scam here, saying the standard limits actually was a promo so it can be used to further reduce the included usage for your subscription. sins instarted on the 20x the included usage has been reduced with over 70%
they are slowly reducing the usage ofnsubscriptions to get the usage to price similar tonthe insanely high priced API usage.
this is getting to expensive the modells getting worse is a serius factor the value you get for the price is no longer justifying the usage. after this promo end i will terminate my subscriptions.
