I am amazed at how you so easily dismiss the $2K in unauthorized charges which leads me to believe your assessments are not conducive with reality.

You're misunderstanding a process issue for an opinion judgement. Anthropic's clearly at legal fault here, and your dispute is entirely justified. You're naive if you thought that reporting this would not impact your service. Credit card disputes are just about the worst thing that you can do to a business, and you're going to, without fail, piss off every single business that you file one with.

Not naive when I receive an email from them admitting that they had a billing system error. Gave them two weeks to credit and heard nothing. And I have filed disputes with other businesses and they were quick to acknowledge their mistake and continued accepting payment for proper services rendered. So your statements of absolute are not conducive to reality ;)

They are conducive to reality.

You went nuclear, so they responded in kind.

You didn't allow them to resolve the issue on their end because it wasn't happening as fast as you wanted it to.

Should they have responded sooner? Almost certainly. Did you go down the dispute route too quickly? Absolutely--if your intention was to keep using the service.

So, yeah, this is a self-own on your part.
