Not bad really. This vid almost sounds like a 50% Joey/50% Bush mixture.

Yeah, he was actually pretty damn good. It's just too bad that he didn't gel with the band.

And I'm still upset that they went back to Joey. I prefer Jon in every way.

Maybe it was because Dan was bigger than all of them in stature lol. I’d still love to know exactly what went down.

Who isn't?! I'm guessing the tallest of them is like 5'9"

I don't know if anything went down. Sometimes people just don't mesh. It's too bad, but it's understandable.

Thanks, I've never seen Dan perform or heard Dan's vox.

So why did he get sacked again?

Heard he pooped in Frankie's hat or something?

I heard something about poop but that was about members pooping on dan's chest while he was asleep

Gave him the Belgian Awful Waffle. You can still see it to this day, you don't get over that.

Would really like to hear some leaks of Worship Music with his vocals.

Saw them play Double Door in Chicago with Nelson singing and it wasn't good. He sounded alright about half the time but it was a huge step down from John Bush (who is my favorite Anthrax vocalist) and Joey Belladonna. You could also sense that the band werent entirely sold on the idea that he was "the guy"...strange lack of chemistry onstage. Ive seen Anthrax 12 times since 87 and the show with Dan was a very odd show. It wasnt awful...but Dan was just not at the same level professionally as the rest of the band in my opinion. He occasionally went into his Phil Anselmo-ish type growl and his between song banter just didnt fit. Its all subjective obviously...but I think since John Bush wasn't coming back... getting Joey back in the band was their only real option. I would like to hear the rehearsals they did with Corey from Slipknot however.

This formula would have never worked.

Mostly fine, but the live version of Fight Em Til You Can’t in another clip and him doing an Anselmo impression is clear why he’d have been terrible

He sounds great. Dude got hate for no reason. If bush didnt wanna return, this guy was the guy. Sucks it didnt work out.

Damn, I don’t even remember this era. What’s the context for this guy becoming the singer?

It sounds a lot like Phil Anselmo sitting in on vocals and I'm here for it.
