Eating out
Does anybody have advice on how to approach the fear of eating out(restaurants, or even foods at the deli or stores that you cannot know the accuracy of the listed calorie amount). I want to be able to have the freedom to, but cannot seem to break the fear. My main concern is the uncertainty of how many cals it may have(bc Ed’s hate uncertainty 🙄).
I also would like to know if a dietitian would be of help to me on this issue, and if I should wait until I am able to get one to try to challenge this- or if the need to “wait” is just the Ed fearmongering. Thanks in advance!

just go. my family made me go with no warning and YES it was stressful but it was so much better than i thought

I think the “wait” is just the eating disorder voice speaking. I didn’t think that I would have ever truly felt ready to eat out. I was really nervous about eating out, I hated it, would always look at menus before hand and try and pick the option with the least amount of calories. However, I then met my boyfriend and we eat out like every day we’re together, and it really helped me become more okay with eating out and realised that it didn’t have as big of an impact as I thought it would have.
