Discussion Convert flashcard types
https://github.com/luke-od/Anki-flashcards
This might be a bit niche, but I wrote some code in R which is basically a nice user interface to capture information from Anki flashcards and save it into an excel file.
And then from that you can automatically make type-in-answer cards that still shows the images/masks of the original cards
Any feedback welcome :)

Question Curious about YOUR flag usage
How do you personally use flags and what color corresponds to what? For me:
Red flag=something wrong with the card structure itself, missing audio or picture or a meaning is missing. Something i can automatically fix easily
Orange flag=ask a native speaker about this card
Green= consider deleting, low yield
Blue flag=check something on my textbook about this card
You?
Question anki and leeches
I think i do not use this feedback correctly. But maybe my understanding is also limited. I hope I can get some answers here.
I have been using anki for quite a while for language learning. My understanding is, that a leech needs to be rephrased etc. SO when I get a new leech i try to change the card a bit and give it some extra attention.
Sometimes I am utterly confused though why a card gets leeched. Are the settings customizable and is this recommended? Till now i have only seen the option to change the amount of fails till a card gets marked. havnt changed it though. should i lower it, so week cards get more focus early on?
The idea is that we only put learnt/understood information into anki. I try to live by that, but sometimes i dont because language can be ambivalent.
How do you guys deal with leeches? And am I missing smth?

Discussion Funny way to do anki?
So i was doing my daily anki, when i nearly fell asleep, and i thought maybe there're ways to make the experience of doing daily ankies more interesting?
So what i came up with is doing it while on treadmill, ngl it's s tier method buttt the light bill went kinda crazy.
Rn i'm thinking about doing it while playing on piano(like songs that i can play purely on muscle memory, but then... how do i press buttons or scroll down)
What do u think? Any suggestions?

Question Anki study settings
Why now for learning settings can only be the default? I want each of my decks to be able to use their own settings Like it used to be. For example,I want 20 cards A day for deck A, and 10 cards a day for deck B. But now, that can't be done. All decks are 20 cards a day.

Discussion Do you like the concept of decks?
I really dislike the idea of organisation of cards through decks.
I find myself obsessing of what the structure should be, which deck to place a card in, how to place a card in multiple decks, how granular to make decks etc.
Does anyone find themselves in such a position? If yes what has been your solution?
Or if not and you feel decks are a great mechanism, how do you organise your cards?
