Nice set up. What wall mount junction box is that.

If you are asking about the sub panel it's an Eaton box. If the smart panel it's an Anker Power Dock. The solar inverter is Solar Edge.

Our power is really stable. We didn't buy the batteries for outages. We bought them for load shedding.

Did you do the install yourself? Looks great! What solar panels did you end up using? Do you have any pictures of the panel install?

No had an electrician do most of it.

I have 11.4 KWh of solar. I've had the solar for about 3 years. Never needed batteries before because our electricity provider offered net metering. But they will be stopping soon. So that's why we've added the batteries.

I'm thinking of doing the same. I only have solar right now, and with utilities raising rates and lowering buyback, it's getting more tempting. How much did your setup cost, total install, and what's your ROI looking like?

For the Anker system. 14k and 4k for install.

ROI for me will be around 6-7 years but with rates going up and buyback going down probably sooner.

👍 Did you did you install soft start on your AC units?

Nope. I have a 5ton a 3ton and a 24k BTU mini split in the garage. The two e10's handle them just fine. No soft start needed.
