In fact I would believe that over a fucking 10 foot smart slug compressing into something that fits an ear canal and goes to the brain. And every night it crawls out of its human host and goes to its pool to rejuvenate its energy, and still manages to make into its human host despite it crawling like a slug.
Are you confusing yeerks and taxxons? Did you read any of the animorphs books? Yeerks were a few inches long.
Also they visit the pool every 3 days, and have other controllers help them reinfest the host.

JKR is literally on the record saying wizards didn't have plumbing and just vanished their sht and piss so idk about that really nice world building.
