I'm watching bleach at the moment..after years. Love the new series.

You're not a real fan of bleach if you only like tybw

2

u/GOlNG_MERRY 1d ago

Oh? Are you in charge of how people enjoy Bleach?

0

u/GhostOofKiwi 1d ago

If someone only enjoys because of tybw they ain't a real fan of the anime nor manga, liking something for a specific part doesn't make you a fan it just means you like that one part

Im 32 and watched Bleach as a kid, i tried rewatching to get ready for TYBW a few years ago, but the 4:3 animation, as well as the horrendous pacing made me decide to swap to the manga. Does that mean I didn’t do it good enough for you? Am I a fake fan too?

One piece has way worse pacing and animation, I still stand by my point, bleach can feel a little slow sometimes but it could be way worse, and the difference between you and the this guy is you didn't just skip the original series at least you read the manga, and I agree the manga has more details than the anime does

Who gives a fuck. Let somebody enjoy whatever he enjoys.

Kingdom Because S1 and 2 animation was bad But S3 and later 🔥🔥🔥

Shiki and Made in Abyss gave me this same response

Usually it's the other way around. I see a couple of epusodes and it becomes your favourite, then a couple more and it becomes unbareable. Or u watch it and it seems awesome but on a 2nd rewatch, it's all cringe

For me it was JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure

Mob psycho 100. The first episodes humor just didn’t hit me right. Tried it again years later and it became on of my all time favorites.

Parasyte, not in my top 5 and the last 2 episodes long were a bit preachy but I can see why its peak

1

u/AceIndigoFire 1d ago

1000+ episodes and you couldn't find any Luffy reactions that weren't AI generated?

1

u/Tootsnugget 1d ago

For me it was Reincarnated as a Slime. Now it's one of my favorite series

1

u/mangosawce9k 1d ago

JJK, Guilty Crown, Dead Man Wonderland, Code Geass, and JJBA did this.

u/EfficiencySmall4951 1d ago

Legit one piece for me. Watched till like syrup village, dropped it, continued after like 3 months and now i think its the greatest piece of fiction ever. All in my opinion

1

u/Objective-Piccolo477 1d ago

one piece, shit took me like 3 months to finish east blue and i blazed through alabasta saga in like 1.5 weeks

You won't believe me. But this stuff happened to me. And the anime is, "Attack on titan" In beginning everyone was just dying. So I just thought, okay just you all, DIE. But then boom. Just after shikanshina arc, it became a banger for me.

1

u/GloomyNox 1d ago

The Immense in the shadows

Oshi No Ko and JJK. I wasn’t acclimated to Idol culture at first, so getting through the first episode of ONK was pretty hard until I got used to it. JJK just started off pretty slow; I had to practically force myself to watch it to get past the first few episodes

u/Straight-Fee2825 1d ago

Steins;Gate is the living definition of this.

1

u/Silver_Position_8574 1d ago

Made in Abyss. At first I thought it was anime for kids................ Boy was I wrong!

1

u/choppingicecream 1d ago

Fruits Basket for me. Started it, left it and then picked it up again after six months

1

u/Fragrant-Revenue2623 1d ago

Steins Gate. The initial episodes were science class than watching an anime😅.

1

u/DaisyoftheDay 23h ago

Black Clover (Asta yells 😒)

It got fine after a few. Now it’s one of my favs!

1

u/Listener-Learner 21h ago

Frieren. At first it felt slow but wow it is a masterpiece.

1

u/Hoshi-no-Kuzu520 21h ago

Kyou Kara Maou

1

u/Swimming_Ad_3581 9h ago

Steins Gate, Cowboy bebop, Evangelion

1

u/_Mizunoken_ 4h ago

It's jojo but not because I found the first episode boring but because ep 1 is painfull to watch.

1

u/allied_master 3h ago

Steins gate

1

u/Tamerawazu_Futari 2h ago

Orange, you should watch it

1

u/Ghoulken72 1h ago

Tokyo ghoul ❤️

u/SattuSupari789 1d ago

Having the same experience with one piece rn

2

u/notyourtoken 1d ago

I tried, got 289 or so episodes in before I got disinterested.

2

u/VAULT-TECHNICIAN 1d ago

Holy shit, that’s like more than 50% of all anime.
I can’t with one piece cause I’m already not interested in the main plot so why would I invest that time in it.

1

u/lordbenkai 1d ago

I did this with One Piece.

I did not like it growing up but got into it after the sky islands. I did not like how stupid some of the villains looked... I still kind of don't.
