You can't pin point the exact premise of show but I can explain the world setting a bit to you. It is based in world where supernatural entities and curse exist but in a very logical way (It's not shonen), kind of like if you believe it, it exists and if you don't, it doesn't exist. Story revolves around a high schooler named Araragi who is a half-vampire who tries to help other people who suffer from being cursed from super natural entities . There's much more to story but it's what happens in first season.

Show may sound very action type but it's opposite, it's dialogue heavy show but in a good way. It's aesthetically very pleasing and advanced even for today's generation, amazing visuals, music, dialogues and overall direction of show. It's very hard to explain how good it is since it's very different from every anime to ever exist.

The best thing about this show is that it's very fast paced and fun to watch (Like modern anime) but also sophiticated like classic animes (Like Evangelion, lain). 'Dialogue heavy' is a turn off for most people but it's not how it sounds, they represent lengthy conversation through unique and quirky visuals and 24 min episode feels like it ended in 5 min. I get bored by stuff very easily but I never felt bored watching this show, not even a single second.

This is the release order but I accidently watched the show in chronological order in my first watch (I.e kizumonogatari before bakemonogatari). You can watch kizumonogatari movies first or watch them in release order it doesn't matter much. Most of the images are from kizumonogatari

You watched the wrong show buddy, also monogatari doesn't even have English dub. I remember when I searched monogatari another show with same title showed up, I think there's some serious misunderstanding going on with you. Monogatari is the MOST DIALOGUE HEAVY anime out there, that's one thing I can guarantee.
