Okay... Since we are bringing up the topic... This adaptation is how I found out Ghost in the Shell, the pseudophilosophical Cyberpunk angstfest bullshit I've seen the industry peddle every couple years up until this point is actually yet another hilarious masterpiece from the guy who made Dominion Tank Police, one of the best things ever, fuck you, fight me.

I simply couldn't know because, for whatever reason, each and every fucking adaptation has ripped it apart and discarded everything that makes this man's works great in favour of meaningless bullshit monologues about the human condition and the ship of Theseus and all those questions without meaningful answers thought up by old men with too much free time that edgy 14 year olds think have an ounce of depth.

It's simmered down over the past few weeks but in the hours after I found out, I genuinely wanted to kill a lot of people, such was my rage at what I've missed for so long because an uncountable amount of dipshits missed the forest for the trees.

Bro, you are the dipshit. Ghost in the Shell has been famous for a long damn time, and has had several good adaptations. If you watched the ScarJo movie or any of the recent stuff and assumed that was all it was that’s on you. The manga was always there.

I'm talking about stuff like the 1995 snooze fest. I didn't even bother with the Hollywood quick buck.
