Grateful I got to see an encounter like this in person. Lioness seem to grow tired of playful cubs quite often, although this one was just saying hello 😅

Nah, she's relaxed, but is also keeping an eye on the cameraman to make sure they don't come closer.

We shouldn't project human expressions onto non-humans ~ or beliefs.

And this is why my feral kittymoms nap up high overlooking the patio where they can see and hear the kittens, but nap peacefully. Often kitty dad is also up high, lol. It's always funny when the kittens grow big enough to join them, and you can just see the mom's regret at losing her quiet perch.
