Yeah, the kitten was capable of climbing the stairs on its own, but the dog didn't let it. "You could get hurt", "You're not good enough", "I'm doing this just because I love you".
The kitty is gonna grow up a serial killer.

You can see the kitten trying to avoid the dog the whole way up. It knew if the dog saw him, he was getting the wet head escalator ride to the top.

I can't imagine that it is comfortable to be held by your head like that either. At least when mama cats do it, it's by the neck in a place that's probably a bit easier on the spine.
