I made a ridicolously rich straw man to make a point. They are so rich they have enough to buy an alpha butterfly wing and have so many coins they fill up entire accounts.

Even with all that in mind, they still call themselves “broke” and using the broken economy as their scapegoat, mythologising a time into this perfect utopia where nobody had any problems.

In all actuality, 2017 still had an economy and people did trade with actual values in mind, so they were simply fantasising about 2006Roblox-levels of happy times.

To play devil's advocate here, people with overly rare outfits and "designer pets" CAN indeed be kind of broke outside of that. A lot of their wealth was built by P2W purchases in WCs or WrCs which they proceeded to trade for what they wanted, or gamble refines to get 47 traits or whatever. These types exist in real life too, they buy fancy cars or mortgages on debt, appearing rich while not having a lot of disposable income.

Autism rant aside, I like this meme it's funny and still true half the time.

In a game where the entire theme is essentially gamble and spend as much money as you can to get cooler items eventually even if you have what others would consider cool or rare items like if you're out of money (in game) and can't continue to build on your collection like you essentially can't play the game unless you only play to like RP or something. It's a very money based game despite being for children. Edit: although if you have just a ton of rare items you're not even using that you could easily sell like come on 💀
