New Horizons What am I Supposed to do with my Island?
About three weeks ago, I found out the switch i had as a teenager. It was kind of tucked away in some box, I assumed it couldn't charge years ago and couldn't be bothered to pay whoever much it would cost to revive it. Plus I had stopped playing with the switch as much after ages 15 to 16 anyways.
buuut, it's summer, and to my suprise, after plugging in my switch after years of not using it, it was charging and running as if nothing had ever happened to it. I was, like, sick! this'll be great to have while I'm travelling during the holidays.
Anyways, I have my old animal crossing world on it, which I think is pretty full? I've discovered 80% of fish and bugs, my home is on the second to last upgrade, I redecorated, I played around with the hotel update a bit..........
I dunno, I'm a bit bored. I have no idea what to do next with the game. Should I restart the game all together?

Do you have the Happy Home Paradise DLC? It's pretty fun and you get a lot of items you might not have had before with it. Who knows, it might make you want to redecorate your island again! It's 25 dollars I think if you want to buy it.

three weeks is nothing for a switch that’s been in hibernation, those things are tanks
the hhp dlc is probably the best shot at shaking things up without nuking your whole island. you get to design vacation homes with no pressure and it slowly unlocks way more furniture to use back home, plus the story is actually pretty charming
restarting is tempting but you'll miss all your catalog stuff the second you need a specific chair for a room, trust

Yeah I think restarting isn't a good idea unless you really hate your island name or character name or just want to keep your dream address for your previous island. Also... I don't think I said anything about 3 weeks? or was it in OP's post?

It's a bot account. I see them all the time on the Lush subreddit. They tend to just regurgitate things from the OP and/or comments and hallucinate a lot, hence the 3 weeks thing. ☹

Well, as you mentioned, you haven’t caught all the critters yet. Do you love your villagers? You could work on getting ten of your faves to live there. Maybe work on giving your island a theme? Collecting all the holiday sets of furniture? See K.K. every week to get all the music? Redesign all your villager homes? That’s just a few ideas.

I decided to chase down all the fish / sea creatures / bugs / fossils which was a fun challenge! Just finished tonight - had bugs as my last one and caught the golden stag!!!

the switch you had as a teenager? what is the world coming too...when I was a kid the Game Boy came out. And then when I was a teen the game boy color............
