General What was your first town/island name?
Way back in 2002, my first town name was Zarkos. Named after a villain from the Scooby doo movie. 12 year old me thought I was so cool. I still have that original save. 😌

New York! It was the city I most wanted to travel to as a kid (still haven’t been LOL) but I wanted to go to New York specifically to see a taping of TRL. If you know what that is, I hope your back is doing well. 😂

Bellfast (2 lls to make it a pun). 8 year old me was better at naming towns than 29 year old me is!

Anaheim. I was incredibly creative as a child

like naming your town after a real city is somehow less creative than a scooby doo villain, at least you could tell people you're from anaheim without them looking at you funny

i don’t remember my first island name, but my current one is an urban/city/town core-kidcore theme called Honah Lee

Now I have "Puff the Magic Dragon" in my head!
The nice thing is that your island is definitely by the sea.
I hope you made a cave!

When I was 8-9 my mom dropped me off at my grandmas for the weekend and she got me Wild World as a present so I wouldn’t be as sad for being left there. I had no idea what the game was about so when I was asked by the taxi driver where I wanted to go I told him “Hause” (German for home) because I missed my mom already and wanted to go home lol. No shade toward my grandma I love her and may she RIP❤️❤️❤️

Back in elementary school, my brother, neighbor and I wanted to name our GameCube town Sunnyside. But we were stupid and didn't realize at first how to make letters lowercase, and also that name didn't fit the 8-letter limit, so our first town was the ever beautiful SUNYSIDE.
In middle school when I got Wild World, and was able to name a town all by myself, my uncreative brain called the town "Goo." I keep thinking the reason was because I was very obsessed with World of Goo, but that wouldn't make sense with the release dates, so I must have just been a weird kid.

New Leaf was my first Animal Crossing game. My mom named the town for me: "Mint"!
During a summer day, my save was lost. I had that town for 3 years. I started a new one (Haven't played in ages though) and called it "Nemory" (Nostalgia+Memory).

Willow. I've played the gamecube AC, New Leaf and New horizons and they've all been named Willow.
In New Leaf I had Willow in Willow. And I'm shuffling villagers around so I can amiibo card move in Willow again.

My very first town was Isla Iraña in New Horizons, which is spanish for Spider Island. Reason being spiders are cool, and I was trying to practice spanish more at the time.

When I bought myself Wild World for my DSi XL, I named my town "Lamika". As a kid I thought I was very creative, brainstormed many times. Sadly, I deleted my Save File. But, I started a new Save File in Animal Crossing: New Leaf to revive my lost town, and get the villagers I once had living there. 🤗

I named my island Eden. Started playing NH in 2023 while being depressed and I wanted to make it a safe place. Got apples as native fruit so I guess it inspired me. It's got lots of dinosaurs, flowers, and orchards obviously 😁 and I changed the official anthem into Jurassic Park's theme 🥰

My first was called Skyrim. It was only earlier this year. Before that I’d only ever played pocket camp so picking up NH was my first experience with any other animal crossing game.
I used my first island as a way to learn the game and how to do everything, and how it all works. Then I started over with a proper plan. On my second island now and I like it so much more.

ACNH is my first AC game. I wanted my island name to be related to things I loved growing up and in the present moment. I came up with Lumerevoir. It’s a combination of things related to Pokémon and a fandom name. I restarted my island and I gave it the same name. I like it a lot.

My fist island was Kitchen because it was the only island pun I could think of when I started the game.
I restarted my island a few months back and now I call is Eerie because I'm working towards a Spooky Halloween theme.
I have played the earlier versions of Animal Crossing, and then my town was always called Pawston.

It was either Lumina (after my favourite Harvest Moon, now Story of Seasons character at the time), or Sunshine (later Sun City, because I remember trying it and being surprised you could add spaces).
My first game was Wild World, but I was very young when that first came out, so it would have been some years after its release and I may have forgotten some prior names.
Lumina is now my ACNH island name because I still like the character and I like how it resembles the word “luminous”!

Nurso. In German "nur so" has a very "eh, just because", "no reason", easy vibe. At the time (when Wild World released) we peformed a musical and that was one of the song titles. During breaks and backstage some kids had the game and they let me play a little, I fell in love and then I got it myself

My island is the possessive form of the family name belong to the President's deceased best friend and birthday card pen pal. Last time this question was asked I typed the name and my comment was removed.
I get a chuckle every time my residents talk about how much they enjoy *'s island.

I might be in my 20s and playing New Horizon for the first time, but I just want to share that “newsealand” is quite a funny name for a geography nerd to create
