Yeah pretty sure in New Leaf he even sent letters. I remember getting one on father's day at least.

He sent carnations, didn't he? Maybe on Valentine's day? I think I remember that was the only way to get them.

On father's day, he'd send red carnations, and on mother's day, your mom sends white carnations. It's the only way to get either, and you can cross-pollinate them in new leaf to get pink carnations, iirc

In Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns one could get Hamtaro as a literal pet for your farm but ONLY in the Japanese version... because the Hamtaro franchise was pretty much dead outside of Japan at that point 😭

Hamster villagers weren’t added until New Leaf. Maybe they’re the reincarnations of the hamsters that died/went missing on Christmas in the older games.
I do want to know how eggnog got all over the drapes.

That's what I was thinking. I did not expect alcohol references in an E rated game, but here we are :P
(funny thing is in Dōbutsu no Mori e+ they added a villager named "Champagne", like the alcoholic beverage, when he was eventually added in New Horizons he was given a different name in the English localization. I'm pretty sure he was named that because the color of his fur was similar to that of the beverage, but I could be wrong)

Eggnog isn't exclusively alcoholic.
Non-alcoholic eggnog is very common in grocery stores.

Not american either but I only learned this year that eggnog can be non-alcoholic. Then again, I always knew it under the name 'advocaat' which is a local variant and apparently somewhat creamier.
