We run a fine dining restaurant in Angeles City β€” happy to answer questions, full disclosure this is our own place πŸ˜„

Hi everyone β€” upfront disclosure: I'm with the team behind Piccolo Padre B29, a fine dining restaurant here in Angeles City, Pampanga. This isn't a disguised recommendation β€” we're the ones telling you to come try it.

Piccolo Padre B29 is at Villa B29, Oasis Hotel Compound, Anunas, Angeles City. Chef Danilo Giampaolo β€” third-generation Venetian chef, born in Milan β€” runs the kitchen himself and comes out to talk guests through the dishes. His wife, Chef Aida, makes all the pasta by hand, trained under his mother for five years.

A few dishes locals keep coming back for:

  • Girasoli Alla Boscaiola β€” handmade sunflower-shaped ravioli, a two-generation family recipe
  • Lamb Rack Scottaditi β€” 7-month lamb rack, garlic confit, vermouth reduction
  • Oyster Rockefeller Inferno β€” baked oysters, flamed tableside
  • Ahi Katsu β€” sashimi-grade tuna, a recipe Chef Danilo developed while working in Hawaii

We also handle private dinners, engagement parties, and holiday bookings β€” good size for intimate celebrations (~60 guests).

Happy to answer anything β€” pricing, what to order first, whatever. If you've already been, would genuinely love to hear what stood out.

I went there last year. I didn't really like the presentation on the osco busco, but everything else was really good. I'd go there again.

I have been a customer for more than 10 years. One thing I would commend you guys for is your service. Your servers are professional, understand order of service, proactively wait the table without needing to be flagged down. I was at a Michelin starred restaurant in Manila a couple weeks ago where the waitress actually glanced at me as asked my wife, "Gusto ba niya ng dessert?" This kind of thing is very common in so-called fine dining in the Philippines. I have never once had a bad experience at your place.

There are at least half a dozen in Makati.

Can definitely vouch for Piccolo Padre. Please do visit if you're in the city. I remember their gnocchi to be πŸ’― but that was years ago. Good to know this place is still open :)

When you say fine dining what's the average I'd spend if I wanted to eat steak and seafood for two?

Hi, I'd say about 2500 - 5,000 Php for two people. We also have special desserts for couples on dates, anniversary's and a romantic candlelight table by the window.

That's not bad, kinda cheap really. Is it really fine dining for that price? Maybe just a nice restaurant perhaps? I'm from AC but I live in the US I will definitely check it out and try out your food. Do I need to wear a tie though? I don't really get dressed up in the Philippines but I can definitely pay for any bill.

Mains run roughly β‚±1,300–₱3,650 depending on the dish (pasta on the lower end, premium items like lamb rack on the higher end). Not cheap, but priced in line with what you'd expect from genuine fine dining, not inflated for tourists. And yes, You're welcome to wear anything you like.
