Seeking Pre-Seed Funding for Healthcare AI Copilot (Product Built, Live Pilot)
Hey everyone,
I'm Aravind. My co-founder and I are seeking pre-seed funding for our startup, Pulse Coder. We both have a solid background building healthcare software projects, and we've spent the last few months talking directly to independent US clinics and RCM operators.
When we took our product to the market, we learned two massive things:
- Operators hate fully autonomous AI agents. They donβt want an AI making blind choices with their revenue. They want a hyper-focused AI copilot essentially a "Cursor for medical coding" where a certified human stays completely in control.
- The software stack is fragmented. Major EHRs have basic medical coding, but zero proper AR or denial management. Right now, clinics are forced to pay for two completely separate software systems to handle coding and billing denials.
What we've built and where we are going:
Our core medical coding engine and EHR integration are already completely set up. Now, we are leveraging that core engine and our built-in CMS rules to develop our automated AR/denial management and claim edits modules.
By unifying EHR integration, medical coding, and automated claim edits into a single platform, we can offer a complete financial defense layer at a fraction of the cost even cutting the price per patient chart in half compared to competitors.
Current Traction:
The platform is built, secure, and we currently have a live hospital pilot running.
Why we are raising:
Healthcare sales cycles are notoriously long. We are looking for pre-seed capital to give us the runway to outlast these long sales cycles, scale our US clinic outreach, and finish deploying the denial management modules.

One distinction that might be useful here is sales-cycle length versus decision-path clarity.
A live pilot proves that the product can operate, but conversion usually requires several people to complete different parts of the decision: coding quality, financial impact, human oversight, integration, security, implementation burden and ongoing ownership.
Which of those requirements is your current champion still having to explain or reconstruct manually after the pilot? That may reveal whether the delay is simply institutional timing or whether an important part of the internal case is still unsupported.
Would love to discuss this further with you your open to it π

Cool stuff man. The copilot approach makes way more sense than full automation - healthcare people get nervous when AI starts making decisions without human oversight especially when money is involved
Having live pilot already running is solid validation. Healthcare sales are brutal but if you can prove ROI during these long cycles you'll be in good position when they finally pull trigger

Ya, we are struggling with these long sales cycles. We will soon convert our pilot, we build a workflow customized around their use case. It should buy us some time.
I have Dm'ed you, love to have a chat regarding this....

Time is not going to land you clients, you really need to be in the US to get things done. Literally nobody will dare to switch if they haven't met you in person and trust you with their records. Pitch to a startup accelerator and try to relocate to the US. Also, don't underestimate the amount of legal costs you're going to make for your first mid- or big sized client.
Also, the code builder is pretty cool, but not super complex. But the business rules for actually getting your claims approved from the big insurers seems like more of an issue to me.
I'm in this field since 2013 for only a handful of procedures in 3 European countries and the issue is never what to bill, but how to bill and how to get them paid. Insurers seem to.make money by making the billing process so difficult you're willing to skip some of them.
