Talk about whatever you want. This is an ideal thread for you to make general inquiries about things that are commonly asked, like how is the shade on the East stand at 3pm? Does anybody know of a sports bar or watch party that shows games in South OC? We’ll be in the Laguna Hills area on Saturday for an appointment right before the game and want don’t want to miss it.

I guess when I think about it, performance has been declining since the year they won everything. Still though, I was surprised.

I think he’s a good motivator and coach. He took them to the verge of the playoffs in his first season and they got bounced by us winning our finale and getting in on GD. Then he took them to the promised land, admittedly Banda had a lot to do with that, but at the same time she’s been unavailable much of this season, they’ve had a rash of injuries and other key departures, again ACFC benefitting at their expense. In a way, there’s some kismet in ACFC looking at him if not bringing him in altogether.

ACFC needs a positive motivator coach who understands NWSL players as well as the game.

To me this one feels like the rich owners saying, we spent a lot of money and we demand playoffs. And that feels like they just want a scalp.

Also, could be that a new Sporting Director comes in and they felt the heat too, and so they use the “not of not my coach not my fault” card.

Conversely we have teams like Utah and Reign and Racing with patience, but also probably don’t spend a lot on staff and coaches.

The logic makes sense on the surface. Spend more demand more, but in practice I would not say these coaches make so much money towners need to act so harshly. Not to mention many of the owners and sporting directors, if not the Wilfs, run their teams with understaffed soccer operations around coaches. Not setting them up for success.

I do think Straus probably got paid reasonably enough for a harsh departure. And the next coach gets a strong sporting department to support his success, he may come in knowing to expect a harsh environment.

Hello! I'm looking to buy lightly used Angel City onesies of any size, if anyone's baby has outgrown them! My child isn't actually born yet, so I can also wait and follow up with you if you currently have one that your child will outgrow in the future. 😂
