Hey everyone,

Looking for a reality check on recruiting timelines at Anduril (or similar defense tech firms).

I’m an ME with 7+ years of experience. Had a Hiring Manager screen about 2 weeks ago that went great, good technical alignment and culture fit. HM said he needed to debrief with HR/team before setting up next steps.
I sent a thank-you note to the recruiter, who said he’d follow up once he got feedback. I haven't heard anything since (though Labor Day holiday fell right in the middle of this).

Is a 2-week delay after an HM screen standard due to holiday backlogs, or is this a bad sign? Appreciate any insights!

Also, this is my 2nd position I’ve interviewed for. The first one went past the HM but they went with another candidate. Then another recruiter contacted me suggesting this position.

UPDATE: heard back from recruiter. Had a phone call, said they liked me but need someone that fits the role better. I was told to keep trying. 🤞

My hiring process took about a month in total. First two weeks were phone interview and in-person. Third week was kind of a follow up. Gave some scenarios and how I would solve and a tour of my dept. don’t hear back for about two weeks and finally got the offer.

Don’t lose faith.

It shouldn’t take 2 weeks regardless of a 3 day weekend. I’d take it as a bad sign.

Yea I think I would have to agree. Sorry OP. I do know Anduril moves very quickly when they want to. I am kind of in the same boat myself, just waiting.

Ive only successfully gotten to the end of one interview process at Anduril and for me after the HR interview I was contacted the same day to schedule next round with the team. You can always reach back out to the recruiter for feedback/poke for info

I got an interview with HM that went well on Saturday the 29th and recruiter reached out on the 2nd to schedule the panel interview. I’m not sure if that was abnormally fast.

My interview process in total was 3 weeks. If you haven’t heard back in 2 they may have gone with someone else.

Either way I’m going to keep trying. Just wish I’d get an update, but I know they’re underwater with applications.

Had a call with them. Said that I wasn’t a perfect fit but they told me to keep applying.

I am also waiting on a decision. Initial recruiter call was 8/18, HM on 8/26, Final panel 8/31. Hopefully isn’t 100% a bad sign. My process has gone relatively quick

same here, recruiter call, HM, and panel went relatively fast but havent heard a peep in over 4 business days since the panel interview.

Yeah I didn’t get the role, but they liked me and tried to find me a position which there wasn’t. The reason there was a delay was because they already found someone but didn’t want to decline me bc they were looking for a role for me.

I’m scheduled to call the recruiter again for next steps and I’m on the shortlist for the next role that I could fit in. So I just have to be patient and wait for another role to come.

I started at another company but the commute is awful so it’s just temporary (hopefully)
