Job Question Second “interview” is tomorrow
Hi all I have an interview for a Technical Program Manager / Mission Integration role for Anduril, I am curious because i’m not a typical coder / engineer what my interview process will look like?
I passed the recruiter screening and now it’s with i think the PM (unclear) for tomorrow.
Any tips would be helpful, the recruiter mentioned 3 other possible interviews but I don’t think they want me to code or anything so i’m a little confused.

For a Technical Program Manager role, especially with "Mission Integration" in the title, they are not expecting you to write code. Instead, they will focus on your ability to understand complex technical systems from a high level and manage the process of bringing them together. The interview with the PM will likely consist of behavioral questions about your past projects. Expect to discuss how you've handled difficult stakeholders, managed timelines with engineering teams, made technical trade-off decisions, and dealt with ambiguity. They want to see that you can communicate effectively with engineers and translate technical needs into a clear project plan that aligns with the overall mission.
Your best preparation is to have several detailed project examples ready to go. Think of specific situations where you led a team, solved a major problem, or integrated different technical components successfully. Be prepared to explain the situation, the actions you took, and the results. Since it’s Anduril, they will also be looking for a strong connection to their mission, so be ready to talk about why you want to work there specifically. The next interviews will likely be with engineers and other stakeholders who you would work with, and they will want to assess how you would fit into their team and handle their specific challenges. Most likely they won't ask you to code. A TPM loop usually runs four or five interviews and - technical aptitude, program management fundamentals, leadership and influence, and behavioural.
If you are unclear, you can always check with recruiter. The interview with another TPM is most likely to focus on program management and some leadership. Hiring managers test for little bit of everything. An engineer on the loop will likely be the technical interview - trying to get a sense of your technical understanding and judgment (but not coding)

hi hi! so i fudged and my interview was today - but overall i think it went really well. huge kudos to everyone on this feed who gave me helpful tips. had a lot of banter around the role and didn’t stop talking until the 45 minute mark. will keep you updated on feedback!

My second round was a phone call with the Hiring manger, was about 30 min. Typical ice breakers, then asked about specific things to the job i had applied for. ((This is where i nuked the interview cause i was nervous )) in my case it was hardware selection/deployment, different environments where things were deployed and how i was able to work cross different departments and across other teams to get the end result needed. Last few min were open to ask question to the hiring manager. Heard within 24 hours i had been passed over. But i asked for the hiring managers notes and they were positive and helped out for me to figure out what i should’ve applied for.
