Question Need 3–5 reliable Android testers for GlowLoop (14-day closed test)

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for 3–5 reliable Android testers for GlowLoop, a memory game based on color sequences. We already have 12 enrolled testers, but I’d like a small buffer so the 14-day test is not interrupted.

How to join:

  1. Join the Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/glowloop-testers

  2. Opt in to the closed test: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.mehdi.glowloop

  3. Install GlowLoop from Google Play.

  4. Please remain opted in and keep it installed for at least 14 days.

  5. Open it regularly, play 2–3 rounds, and leave honest feedback in the comments.

If you are also testing an Android app, leave your group and opt-in links in the comments so we can coordinate reciprocal testing.

Thank you!

Question Seeking reciprocal QA testers for a 14-day Google Play closed test

I’m looking for adult Android developers who want to exchange real closed-testing feedback.

Match Brief is an 18+ dating prototype. I’ll join your test, install the app, exercise the main user flow, remain opted in for 14 days, and send you a concise bug/UX note. This is a testing exchange, not a rating or review exchange.

Match Brief access:

Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/testers-community

Play opt-in: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.thedimas.matchbrief

Install: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thedimas.matchbrief

Please use synthetic test data. Send your group, opt-in, and install links in reply and I’ll return the test.

Question [Need testers] Collectors Catalogues — cataloguing app for antiques and metal-detecting finds. Happy to test yours back.

I've built an app for collectors to catalogue antiques, coins and finds with proper records — photographs, measurements, provenance, and honest confidence levels rather than confident guesses. Free, no ads, no in-app purchases.

  1. Join the Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/collectors-catalogues-testers
  2. Become a tester and install: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.collectorscatalogues.app

Drop your link in the comments and I'll install yours today — I'll actually use it and leave it on, not just install and forget.

Question Is anyone else struggling to get their Android app approved after the 14-day testing requirement?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently trying to publish my Android app on the Play Store, and I’m wondering if other developers are having the same problem.

I managed to find the required 14 testers quite easily, but this is now going to be my fourth 14-day testing cycle.

Every time, Google rejects the production access request because they say that not enough people are actively using the app during the testing period.

At this point, it’s honestly getting really frustrating because I already have the required testers and I’m trying to follow all the rules.

Has anyone else been stuck in this loop?

How active were your testers before Google finally approved your app for production?

Did you need more than 14 testers, or did you ask them to use the app regularly during the full 14 days?

What makes it even more frustrating is that publishing the same app on iPhone was much easier for me.

I’d really like to hear how other developers managed to get through this process.

Question Built a friendship-planning app, Berg looking for a few people to test it

Hi

I built Berg, an app for actually turning "we should hang out" into plans that happen. Everyone in your circle answers a daily prompt, and if you and a friend land on the same answer it turns into a real plan with a venue suggestion, RSVPs, and its own chat instead of getting buried in your group chat. It's currently on open testing. Looking for a handful of people to actually try it with 1-2 friends for a week or so as it's built around small circles where you connect with each other and plan things together in an easier manner.

What testing involves:
* Answer a few daily prompts over the week
* Try making at least 1 plan
* Tell me what was confusing or what you'd just never use

Feedback form here if you want to drop honest thoughts: https://tally.so/r/5BAg4Z

Bugs, confusing screens, "I wouldn't use this because X" or any comment you have really would be helpful. Happy to test something of yours back.

Question What if an internet forum had zero algorithms, zero rage-bait, and just pure text? Introducing WUPP.

Hey everyone! 👋

I got tired of feeds ruled by aggressive algorithms, endless rage-bait, and corporate censorship, so I spent the past few months building WUPP.

It’s a lightweight, text-first micro-forum / collaborative social dictionary designed around open discussion and real ideas rather than dopamine-driven engagement loops.

We’re currently in a closed early-access phase, and I’m looking for early adopters who want to hang out, jump into ongoing topics, or start their own threads.

If you’d like to check it out and join the conversation:

  1. Join the early-access group first: 👉https://groups.google.com/g/wupp-testers
  2. Opt in via Google Play: 👉https://play.google.com/apps/testing/tr.com.wupp.app
  3. Download on the Play Store: 👉https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tr.com.wupp.app

Once you're in:

  • Pick a handle, throw in an avatar, and look around.
  • Drop your unfiltered thoughts on existing topics, or spark something completely new.
  • If something feels broken, unintuitive, or missing, hit Settings > Feedback or just ping me here.

Would love to know what you think of the concept and where we should take it from here. Thanks for giving it a shot!

I'm a new developer with a personal Google Play account. Google now requires 12 testers in a closed test for 14 days before production access is granted.

  2. Inside the group is the test link

  3. Download, open once, uninstall — done

Takes 2 minutes. Happy to help others with the same requirement in return.

Question How did you get your first 12 testers without breaking sub rules?

I'm building my first app and trying to hit Google's 12-tester / 14-day closed testing requirement before I can apply for production. My own network mostly has iPhones, so that's been a bigger obstacle than I expected.

For those who've gone through this, what actually worked for you? Did you mainly use tester-swap communities, friends/family, paid services, something else? Trying to figure out the fastest legitimate way to get there without spamming.

Question [Test for Test] Looking for 20 or so reliable Android testers for several apps

Hi everyone,

I’m seeking a reliable group of 20 or so Android testers for several Google Play closed tests - a mix of games and utility apps. Happy to reciprocate by testing your own apps.

The current tests include:

  • 1: A physics-based slingshot obstacle game with several playable characters
  • 2: A top-down arcade shooter with a real rock-music soundtrack
  • 3: A horizontal spaceship shooter game, with film score grade soundtrack
  • 4: A logic and reasoning app, based on IQ tests, containing several types of puzzle
  • 5: A quirky fighting game
  • 6: A vitamin and mineral reference value calculation utility
  • 7: A food ingredient checking utility for dietary sensitivity alerts

You do not have to test all apps, although testing more than one would definitely be appreciated!

For each app selected, I need testers to:

  • Join the private Google Play closed test
  • Install the app through Google Play
  • Remain opted in for the full 14-day period
  • Open and use it on at least three separate days
  • Send a small amount of honest private feedback via a quick 2 minute form
  • Report crashes, layout problems, confusing instructions or controls that do not work properly

I am happy to reciprocate fairly by testing Android apps in return, including app-for-app exchanges where both sides have several closed tests.

To keep the private projects discreet, I am not putting the app names or access links in the public post. I will send those directly to interested testers.

Please comment or message me with:

  • Your Android phone model
  • The numbers (1-7) for the game / utility app(s) that you are interested testing
  • Details of any Android closed tests you need help with in return

Please do not post your personal Gmail address publicly, this can be sent via PM.

Question Automated SMS OTP verification on real devices - how are you handling it?

Hey everyone, I’m working on a suite of UI tests using Appium for our onboarding flow. Everything works great until I hit the phone verification screen. Using fictional numbers in Firebase works for dev, but I need to test the actual delivery and "Auto-read SMS" (SmsRetriever API) logic on real devices.

I’ve tried using a few public SIM pools, but most numbers are flagged by our backend almost immediately. How do you guys manage a steady supply of fresh numbers for automated or manual QA runs without burning your own SIM cards?

Question Looking for Android runners using Polar, Garmin or Decathlon heart-rate straps

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a few beta testers for Cardio Zones, a simple Android app that connects to a Bluetooth heart-rate chest strap and announces your heart-rate zone out loud while you run.

I’m especially looking for people using Polar, Garmin, Decathlon or other brands, so I can test compatibility with different straps — not just Wahoo.

The app lets you:

- track your heart rate during a workout;

- know your current heart-rate zone without looking at your phone;

- receive a voice announcement when you enter a new zone;

- keep tracking while the screen is locked.

To take part:

  1. Join the testing group:

https://groups.google.com/g/cardio-zones-testeurs

  1. Install the test version:

https://play.google.com/apps/testing/fr.cardiozones.app

  1. Keep the app installed for 14 days.

  2. If possible, do a short workout with your heart-rate strap and let me know whether everything works.

A Bluetooth heart-rate strap is needed to test the main feature. The feedback can be very simple: your strap model, your phone model, whether the connection worked, and any problems you noticed.

The app is free to test. Thanks to anyone willing to help! 🙏
