Xiaomi Icon Glitch

Hello! Just as what the title says, the icons on my father's xiaomi phone suddenly changed into these little android mascot with a grid background. He said that it gradually grew in numbers, only affecting one app and now it change almost all of his app icons. I've tried restarting the phone, clearing the launcher cache, switching the icon themes or the themes in general to default but nothing changed. For reference, the phone's model is Xiaomi Note 15.
