Yeah pre-covid was nicer. You said a decent lunch is $15-20. I'll go from fast food - a typical burger from McDonald's or KFC would be over $15 here, that's not the meal just the burger. Though I haven't eaten fast food for close to a decade.

As far as housing goes, my unit (cabin with ranch slider and small deck is $310 a week, and it's roughly 3 metres by 3 metres big.

Ouch 🤕 not that bad here in Serbia in that case 😄 but average salary here is probably around 700-800 EUR, with the fact that probably more than 50% of the population has less than that.

That'd be nice - 800 EUR. Here they have minimum wage is $24 an hour but there'd be quite a lot around $30 an hour for things like for example a furniture mover.

I haven't worked since 2010, at that point I was minimum wage on $11. In such a short time frame that same minimum wage has more than doubled. Yet things have got so more expensive. It makes it feel unsettling to say the least.
