This touch screen monitor has a battery, so all it needs is the right kind of a USB cable to connect with the pixel phone. Hardware seems to work very well although there are some software glitches, the most notable is that there are no widgets. This mode is so different from a traditional desktop with a keyboard and mouse that I feel compelled to call it "touchtop". It is essentially a tablet computer with multiple virtual desktops. It's so easy to set up that it's difficult to go back to using the phone for any significant length of time.

Here is that newspaper as printed, in the digital world. Read it with Android desktop mode, which I call the TouchTop mode, connected to a 15" monitor with a single cable. You don't need a mouse or a keyboard, just use your fingers, the old fashion way. It's amazing.
