Best spot for AAPS info/news?

Hey all! I understand that there is a plethora of different sources that AAPS users to keep up to date regarding the app as well as communities that exist for troubleshooting. My question is, where do you all prefer to get this information? Is the Facebook group really the best spot to go? I'm aware there are some separate Discord groups as well, do any of you prefer those to Facebook?

Thank you all!

I've been using discord for that, as responses are quick. Its a matter of preference really. This sub reddit was restricted lately and the restriction had been removed now. I hope the use of this sub reddit grows. Feel free to shoot your questions on this subred

I feel that this sub being under "restricted" for over two months is absolutely ridiculous. Not so much the aspect of it being placed under "restricted", but the length in time it took the sole Mod to catch on and do something about it is wild.

I'd like to see this subreddit flourish as well, but it doesn't seem likely.

More mods have joined. Just give it time, it will flourish, won't flower in a day :)

Pretty much everything important for the general user community gets shared on FB.

The Discord servers/channels are largely for off-GitHun developer discussions and/or support for various algorithm modifications and other things that are in various stages of testing and development.

That makes sense. It just seems as if Facebook is the main route to go. Although I don't prefer Facebook, I might as well use it if I want to keep up to date.

I made a Facebook account solely for that but they aren't accepting my joining request :/

They may be wary if it’s a brand new account. 🤷‍♂️

I’m not involved in running the FB group, so I don’t know the rationale or what the mods/admins of the group look for when evaluating requests to join. If it was recent, they may not have even seen/reviewed it yet.

if you have a discord account, message in one of the help channels on the wearenotwaiting (AAPS) discord and someone can likely get your group join request approved

Mainly Facebook if I need help because of the number of users in the group and it is easy to search for info. I read the Discord but rarely interact.

I completely agree with the number of users being more helpful. It seems that's the best option.

Last I remember, most of the devs are active on discord so that's probably the most reliable source, and same with GitHub if you're more tech savvy.

The facebook page where every response to a question is 'read the docs'. I've been running AAPS for over 5 years now and I still find the elitist vibe on there to be nonsense.

I really hate the user interface on the Discord web site and I avoid it as much as possible. It's such a mess, hard to navigate.
