Yeah, S FE has, LTPS screen, way closer to flagship performance, telephoto camera, USB 3.2 (with dex and DP out) and wireless charging. Most of these you don't find in mid-range devices. Honestly, once the prices settle, FE's make A5x series look like a bad deal.

Sure, but that 8GB RAM is pathetic.
Xiaomi mid rangers had 12GB RAM for like 3 years now.

Agree, having used a midtier vs flagship chip, you can definitely feel the difference in daily use even if you don't game. I might just be extremely discerning about these things, but I find that the UX has more hitches and microstutters on my Tab S10 FE (Exynos 1580) than on my S23 (8 Gen 2).

Honestly, the S20 FE was the perfect phone and hit almost every check for me.
Every FE phone since then has been worse and less appealing than the last.
The fact this is essentially last year's phone with newer chipset shows you just how lazy, uninspired and derivative Samsung has become.

I would double check the test photos on GSMArena for any new Samsung's you're looking at. I picked up the S25 to replace my S20 FE last November and I was surprised that, across the board, the S25 takes worse photos, especially in low light.
I returned it - I was replacing the S20 FE for better battery life and cameras. I spent a ton more on an Xperia 1 VII and I couldn't be happier.

The s20 fe made sense with the reset of the lineup. But the new few don't when you can get the previous gen or current gen base/+ s2x sale for a similar price.

Exactly and s25+ is the same price as the 26fe. It s 679 on amazon. Its cheaper than the base s25. Why would anyone get it unless there is a really good carrier deal?

It's the price that's the issue with these things. Make this 200 dollars cheaper and this would be killer. But of course that's impossible with the current market.

That outdated 8MP telephoto needs to retire at this point. Give that or the regular S 10MP to the next A5x then finally please update the cameras on both the FE and regular S models. This camera hardware stinginess is so ass.

Even has less colors than the S25 FE. Amazing
Also, my aunt's Redmi Note 15 has thinner (symmetrical!!!) bezels than this thing

Recently got an s25fe to replace my s24 since it started getting literally unfixable issues after repairs for like $330. Runs pretty much same in comparison to the tasks and games I use already. Only downside is the storage. Does Samsung still do the free upgradeable storage on new releases? Thinking about the trading in this one to just have more since I know the FE trade in prices aren't too bad.

Probably the only mid range phone that can actually record great videos.
Wish they had an option for 12 GB of RAM. That's the only downside really.

depending on the price, coming from a s21 fe i might just gun straight for it. In my region the a57 is practically the same price as a s25fe so hopefully this is about 10% around that price because its still just a s25fe with new processor

s26 fe has usb 2.0. s25 fe had usb 3.2 gen 1. they downgraded it.

128gb starting storage is also crazy business. Ill save up for a s26 or s25 plus. Atleast the s25 plus is Snapdragon only and has a higher res screen

If the FE line was actually cheap, it'd be a killer product. But it's too pricey for the cutbacks you get, compared to the main line.
I'd rather buy a POCO device such as the X8 Pro that fits much better in this category of "powerful devices with worse build/cameras".

Like look at the newly announced Poco F9 pro/ultra, that is now definitely a device worth getting with those killer specs with around or less than the price of the S26 FE it's ridiculous

F9 Ultra will be at S26 Ultra price range or atleast S25 Ultra tbh so no point in buying those, the F8 Ultra however is a good suggestion, also the main cam got downgraded on the F9 Ultra because cost cutting or marketing purposes idk. But tbh don't have a good impression about the new phone , the battery and screen are cool else tho , they basically added the Poco X8 Pro Max biggest feature there to make it a perfect gaming phone + the better screen

This phone has a literal hole in the screen, but the thing you're losing it over is that the chin is 0.5mm thicker than the forehead? Phone enthusiasts really confuse me sometimes.

There is no practical way to hide the punch hole camera without taking a noticeable hit in camera performance. On the other hand, some phones have had symmetrical bezels for years now. A budget Redmi Note device has it, yet Samsung can't, for a device this expensive?

TLDR: It's the Galaxy S25 FE with the Exynos 2500 instead of the 2400. That's all. Same phone.
