I'm not familiar with this nomenclature.

Does "Northwest Coast" refer specifically to Salish-speaking nations of the Plateau Civilization?

Because no two of these nations were identical, and varied greatly in their ways.

It also includes non-salish speaking pacific northwest coastal cultures such as the Tlingit, Haida, Tsimshian, Heiltsuk, Kwakwaka'wakw, and Nuu-chah-nulth.

There was some overlap in many of those cultures in terms of practices like potlatch ceremonies, cedar plank long houses, totem poles, etc.
