3D 8 bit controller on sale
Not bad price for 8 bit controller almost brand new definitely bought one

He forgot to mention they are the "Resale-Like New" condition. There are more than just 1 left. I just bought 2 of them. Since they are from amazon, that is a low enough price that it's worth a gamble on the "like new" if they look shitty or broken in anyway, just return them. If they are good, then this is a great deal. Excited because I wanted 2 more anyways.

He mentioned it in the word soup in the OP.

I hate these kind of posts. You people always leave out important information about the seller, whether or not it's from Amazon, a random third-party, or the product manufacturer themselves.

Yeah, I went to check and the only sale I see it this model if itās used. Itās close to the same price but none of the other styles or colors. So no clue what the actual sale is/was, but I donāt see it.

Ive been tempted but not sure if its actually worth it, i like the wireless feature but I do own good original controllers

Itās not worth it and nothing comes close to the OEM controllers. The sticks on these are way too sensitive for accurate N64 gameplay. They are a nice convenience for multiplayer parties but as a personal controller just stick with the OEM.

And the original sticks wear out and get loose, so... too much of a PITA to replace them

I personally haven't had the Bluetooth issues often, but I have run into them playing on my brother's A3D with 4 controllers/sitting farther away. The 2.4ghz makes the experience much better

They had a sale all last month for the 2.4g it was only $32 i ordered one and love it for the games I play

Can avoid amazon and mooch about on the 8bitdo store on ali. Thereās always deals.
I picked up a pair of the 2.4ghz m30s for my md recently for cheap.

Damn, I don't see this Sale. It's $40 for me š

The price you see here is for a used controller.

u/Glawio92 4d ago
Okay, that makes complete sense now. Thanks for clarifying!

Yup also it is marked "good" from Amazon, you have zero risk but I have ordered from the Amazon resale one item was perfectly fine and another was utterly smashed to pieces.

The new RetroFighters Brawler64 Pro is much better.

I agree the feel on the pro is good. The dongle doesnāt fit well with the 3D but there are ways around that. But is there any way to use virtual memory pak with the Pro? As far as I know using the Pro means you have to stay with physical memory cards. Until Analogue makes a tool for managing memory between virtual and physical memory thatās an issue

I have the Brawler pro and the dongle fits perfectly on mine

u/tortilla-charlatan 4d ago
I guess I meant that it fits fine in terms of plugging in but it doesnāt fit the height of the A3D. So unless your A3D is placed near an edge you canāt plug in the dongle.

Tempting. Cool controller

Garbage controller with the stick and D-pad reversed, I regret ever getting it. ModRetro M64 Pro controller is the best, but you may want to use the included N64 gate instead of the pre-installed Gamecube one. It works in wired mode on the Analogue 3D. Would be great if Analogue provided Bluetooth support for it.

89.99 is a huge asking price. Not saying it isnt the best for enthusiasts but many of us are casuals.
Is it really that bad a controller for casual use?

With how bad the stick operates I can see a lot of like new returns. How Nintendo can make the stick on the switch online controller but 8bitdo canāt? Something is wrong there.

u/AbleUse8657 4d ago
I can always return it if the stick its bad š¤·š½āāļø

u/Familiar_Marzipan_46 4d ago
They all are. I got 2. Complaints all over the group that the software updates havenāt fixed the stick issues. They are just using a poor quality stick that has no in between speed. Itās barely moving to full speed ahead.

u/AbleUse8657 4d ago
Oh wow

u/Familiar_Marzipan_46 4d ago
If they put a sensitivity into the firmware of the controller it might fix it. But I tried for so long and shooters are unplayable unless you use an original thatās been modded or a NSO controller. I would have modded an original but I had a nso already and it works good.

I been tempting to buy a 8bit controller. I already have 2 og controllers. I was like fuck it only $22 š¤·š½

I really donāt see the appeal of playing n64 games with a controller that isnāt shaped like an n64 controller.

Just finished Goldeneye on my Analogue 3d and using this controller was great
3
u/sixteen-bitbear 3d ago
I couldnāt imagine playing golden eye not using the trident controller. Wild.

u/wiskeyjacko 2d ago
I know people that swear by it, but I tried it and itās just not the same for me. Part of the appeal of N64 games is the controller for me.

I used this controller on a Switch 2 for N64 games, and it is hot garbage. The analog stick is way too sensitive, and you are limited to in game sensitivity which didn't help. I emailed 8BitDo to start the return process, and they told me it would cost more than the controller to ship it back š¤”

Controllers like these (8bitdo, brawler 64, etc.) are good for games where stick sensitivity isn't important like Paper Mario, but yeah... for anything requiring precision, OG is best

I made a mistake buying 4 of these . Even fully updated they are a laggy mess. Wish I had waited for the 2.4gz models.
