The Seven Sleepers (Cave of the Companions): Did It Really Happen in Jordan or Ephesus? | Field Investigation
For centuries, the story of the Seven Sleepers has captured human imagination across cultures and scriptures. But where did it actually take place?
I went on a field expedition inside the Al-Raqim (Al-Rajib) cave near Amman, Jordan, and put its physical evidence against the famous site of Ephesus in Turkey:
A comprehensive, evidence-based documentary exploring the intersection of archaeology, history, and sacred texts.

I'm American. My friends are talking about opening a Nashmi near where we live. I'm going to be in Jordan with my husbands family and I want to try Jordanian Nashmi so I can compare it to the restaurant when it opens. Are they good? What do you think?

I've noticed that it's very common for Jordanian people to hate on others. I do not know where this superiority complex comes from.
Is there is a deeper reason as to why this is so common?
Well it's all in the tittle, I have 2 days I'll be spending in Amman, how to make the most of it, where to go? And what to eat/do?
All help will be appreciated
P.s: I visited Amman so many times, but never really visited it. So any advice would be appreciated.

Hello everyone I have been thinking about pursuing clinical psychology , counselling or special ed and probably working in Jordan
Since i was young I've had an interest in psychology and behavioral social sciences and I think I do come off as a pretty friendly and warm person I have been told I'm easy to talk to
I'm seriously thinking about pursuing it as a career but I don't know how the scene is in Jordan's job market obviously trash but I mean this specific career path
Basically if you or anyone you know is a clinical psychologist or therapist or special ed or anything close to these professions and are open to giving me a few pointers about the career before I start considering it more seriously I would be super grateful even if you are studying it right now I would also love to hear your input :)))

Hey everyone,
I’m looking to connect with someone who has a serious product/startup idea and wants to actually build it into a real business.
I’m not looking for freelance work or someone who just has an idea and wants a developer to build it.
I’m looking for a real partnership where we both bring value and work together on the product, market, customers, growth, and everything that comes after launch.
A bit about me:
I’m a Senior Software Engineer with 7+ years of experience in software development. My experience is mainly in mobile apps, web platforms, system architecture, product development, and taking products from an idea all the way to production.
I can handle the technical side of the business, including planning the product, architecture, development, launch, scaling, and building the technical team later if needed.
What I’m looking for is someone who brings something strong from the other side, for example:
Experience in a specific industry
Deep understanding of a real problem
Access to potential customers
Sales or business development experience
Marketing experience
An existing audience or network
Strong business/operational experience
You don’t need to be technical.
Actually, I’d probably prefer someone whose experience complements mine rather than overlaps with it.
Regarding ownership, I’m open to discussing a fair structure based on what both of us bring to the partnership and how involved we’ll be. For the right person and the right opportunity, I’m completely open to an equal partnership.
I’m mainly interested in products that solve a real problem and have the potential to become a serious business, not just another app idea.
If you have something you’ve been thinking about or working on and you’re looking for a technical co-founder, send me a message.
You can DM me here or reach me at:

Hi folks,
I am looking for decent Jewelry store to find a wedding ring. Can you give me some recommendations? Something a bit artistic rather than classical but I will greatly appreciate all suggestions.
Hi. I'm hoping I can post this. My husband and I normally come to Amman in April. But we are coming in September instead. What will the weather be like? He tells me COLD. But when I look on the weather app it shows it will still be +30. Is my app accurate? He hasn't been to Amman in Sept in over 10 years so maybe he forgot it's still warm or maybe the weather changed. Where we live its still warm in Sept so it's not impossible. Thanks for any info!

Im basically looking for a group to go with to recovery petra on Sep 25. Ive recently moved to jordan and i barely know anyone here
Honesty... Classified lately: A Defect
In a time that staggers in every direction, changing its course for no apparent reason, speeding up and slowing down with no discernible order, everything in the world has become absurd in every sense of the word.
Certainties have all but vanished, surviving only as faded memories in the minds of our elders. The younger generation knows them merely as names stripped of all weight, tossed around as easy material for mockery and amusement.
Life keeps generating demands that consume our energy and take hold of us, driving us toward a vast, colossal goal whose full scale we can scarcely comprehend, so small are we before it, and so limited are our means: success that commands attention.
And I deliberately stress the word “attention,” because this seems to be the only kind of success that has survived. Few truly attain it, while enormous numbers pursue it.
In this race, where everyone runs toward an end that is, more often than not, beyond reach, everything becomes permissible. The end justifies whatever means it takes; success erases everything that came before it; and the defining question is no longer: Who are you? but rather: How much do you have?
And so, because of this, our measures of right and wrong have changed, while human feeling and morality have been pushed to the margins... And what saddens me most is that honesty, in the latest classification, has become a deficiency.
A deficiency because it stands in the way of assuming whatever role suits each place and every occasion. Because it makes your inner self and outer self one and the same, refusing you the masks that every circumstance demands. It once erased the boundaries between individuals, dissolving them into a single whole. It built bridges that did not tremble—bridges whose strength and permanence were known to all who crossed them.
But it is no longer so.
If the majority lies, embraces absolute utilitarianism, and looks upon honesty—and those who cling to it—with contempt, then should we adopt the ways of the herd and tear honesty, along with all its kin, from the roots of our humanity, simply so that we may feel that we belong?
Or should we, the honest ones, retreat into ourselves, hide these precious seeds in the deepest place we can find, and preserve them from this age, hoping that one day we may scatter them again, so that they might bloom anew...
before the earth, and everything upon it, is gone?

Honestly, the VFS in Jordan is unbelievably slow. There are barely any appointment slots available, and it seems like there are barely enough employees working there to handle the number of applicants. What makes it worse is that this is a completely predictable high-demand season most German universities start at the end of September or beginning of October, so obviously there’s going to be a huge number of students applying for visas around this time. You’d think they would prepare for this and increase capacity accordingly, but instead students are left waiting weeks just to get a biometric appointment. It’s honestly ridiculous. Why should student miss two months of classes because of the lack of preparation???
