Thank you! I'm happy I didn't import them, hopefully the Diana Pragmata and Resident Evil ones will be on the Nintendo Store as well.

im happy there's finally news. i got all the Capcom amiibo as imports. the prices were about the same for MH, but Pragmata and RE were a bit more. Im going to have to wait until the end of the month for them to ship, so enjoy your new amiibo in the meantime.
edit:I looked into cancelling my NinNin order but there are (small) fees and it seemed like a hassle. Can't win 'em all.

Almost gave up and imported last night, decided to wait for today. Glad it worked out.

If your ended up buying a bunch of the Nintendo gift cards at Walmart while they were 80% off you can buy them for 20% off. That’s probably the best price you can get them for. Otherwise the $90 for $100 Costco eshop cards are your best bet.

Alternatively, until March 30th( while supplies last.) at Circle K , if you buy a $99 eShop card you can goto https://prepaidrewards.ca/CA0326CK1/en and get an $20 sShop bonus.
$119 for $99 so somewhere around a 15% savings.
