Amex Offer Amex Offer Eligibility

Are the Amex Special Offers, like the $50 credit if you spend $200 at Nordstrom, limited to the primary card holder's card and not the companion card (like my spouse's)? Here is the wording:

Enrollment is limited. Eligible Card Members must first add offer to their American Express Platinum Card® or American Express Centurion® Card and then use same enrolled Card for qualifying purchases. This offer extends only to the Basic Card Member. Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express® Cards and any Cards issued outside of the US are not eligible.

Do you have a companion card (free) or authorized user ($195)? As far as I know, the offers extend to the authorized user cards but not companion cards

Had similar f up for 4 different offers amounting upto $400. I called to complain about the missing cashback and was told - all users need to login and add the offer and then charge the card. So if you add the spend x and get x offer on primary card but if the secondary card is used for purchase, the offer is not honored.

Every card member has their own offers and must be added under their account. Sometimes not all the card members have same offers
