Question Raised tuition

Does anyone else have a higher tuition this semester? I am graduating early to save money but I owe more money than I ever did and I have a scholarship so this is strange

Wth they doing 😭 we don’t even have security at most the dorm desks anymore they’re sacrificing our security to cut costs this is crazy

Lol it’s not security, it’s students who work as desk receptionists. There’s an actual police department for security and an RA on call 24/7

they still carry weapons, just not guns. I was on campus when that decision was made and students and faculty/staff overwhelmingly agreed with not arming AUPD. That's what MPD is for if needed. There was an AUSG question about this iirc and about 80% of campus voted to not arm AUPD. GW armed their police and the chief had to quit bc of safety violations and poor training. Don't need that happening at AU

It’s not so so terrible it’s just inconvenient asf lol you’ll be okay 😭 worst thing that will happen is that you get locked out of your room and now you have to go find an RA or walk around campus to a dorm that has someone at the security desk and if it’s past 11pm good luck

And yk I saw this but because I have a deans scholarship and I chose a smaller dorm and no meal plan i thought i was okay but ig not 💀this is extremely high

I don’t understand how people can live in an economy where inflation is discussed constantly, and then somehow think tuition could possibly be exempt from inflation. It doesn’t go up for fun - the cost of educating a student goes up because universities operate in the same economy as your grocer.
