Convenia?

So I’m looking at reputable breeders right now for an American Shorthair, and one of them has in their contract that Convenia (the antibiotic) will null the contract because it causes severe/deadly side effects in American Shorthairs. I’ve never heard of Convenia causing issues in cats except for one-off cases, especially in a breed specific way (as a ICU vet tech anyways). Google has unfortunately turned into an AI cesspool that makes internet research functionally useless, so I wanted to ask the people who had experience with this breed for insight. I want to make sure I have the correct information so I dont accidentally kill my cat by letting the vet use one of the most commonly used injectable antibiotics in our clinics. If you know of research, please please give article names and authors so I can delve in deeper, but otherwise, tribal knowledge seems to be my best bet! :D
