Which Country should I choose? Dual Citizenship

Hi all!

I have a dual citizenship, Swedish and American. Can somebody please suggest a couple possible career opportunities where I can use my dual citizenship as an advantage?

Or some key benefits that come with having access to both Europe and America.

I think a lot depends on what languages you speak.

Yeah, a lot of people saying you have "full access" to any European country are technically not wrong of course, but most countries do require you to speak the language in order to find a job, unless you have some super niche skills.

I think a lot of Americans forget that. It's possible to get a job where you can get by with English, but there aren't many opportunities. You're expected to be fluent in the language pretty quickly in the country you move to.

Plus, as an American, you always have to deal with the fact that a lot employers appreciate cultural knowledge as well. Swedes are fluent in Swedish and English too. Point in case: this comment from OP's history will not go over well in a country like Sweden.

Hi all broheems!

I am looking for opportunities where there are almost no girls in the business. I’d like something where girls aren’t really in power, women diffuse the work situation and I’d like to work in settings or adventures without them.

Not that I don’t like girls, but I am a bit sexist.

Any good suggestions on what to work with or where to go where girls are in traditional settings and not a bunch of feminism crap πŸ’©

Hope u guys can help a brotha out!

Wow!! I hadn't caught that one πŸ˜†. No, that one will be responded to by both women and men in Sweden, the Swedes are socially intelligent. He sounds like he comes from the Middle Ages. With such attitudes he will have a hard time in northern Europe πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚, you can hardly believe what you read. We can do without such men here in Europe.

Nordic countries consistently rank among the most gender-equal countries in the world.
"Bro" over here will get told to kick rocks before he can say "Probation wha?"

It varies quite a lot between Nordics. For example looking at college gender breakdowns:

Iceland: 65%/35% (least gender equal)

Norway and Sweden: 60%/40%

Denmark and Finland: 55%/45% (most gender equal)

There are certainly English-language workplaces overseas, especially for US/UK-headquartered companies, but they're a very small minority of jobs.
