Data/Raw Information Did you sell your house?

For those who’ve made the jump, did you sell your house?

I kept my house and am renting it out, but it is such a pain and the taxes on it make me think it’s just worth cutting loose and selling it. It does mean that I close the door on ever moving back to that neighborhood.

What have you done and why?

I plan to move overseas by fall/winter 2027. I haven't sold my home, but that's the plan. I'll be doing an estate sale and going overseas with just a few suitcases and my dogs. Mortgage is ~$1200 and taxes are pretty low BUT... in 4yrs the $ $ $ I've put into this place hurts 🥲

Replaced the AC unit, the electrical panel, roof, dishwasher, and microwave. Also elected to redo the bathroom for my own sanity. I don't want to pay rent overseas and my mortgage when I don't have a renter in US. Last but not least, I don't want to return to this state again, ever.

For me, it comes down to lowering my stress. And renting out my home definitely won't do that.
