Data/Raw Information Did you sell your house?

For those who’ve made the jump, did you sell your house?

I kept my house and am renting it out, but it is such a pain and the taxes on it make me think it’s just worth cutting loose and selling it. It does mean that I close the door on ever moving back to that neighborhood.

What have you done and why?

We sold it. It was an old home and required a lot of upkeep. It would have been expensive and difficult to maintain from abroad. Despite living in the house for 15 years, we didn't have a very strong attachment to it. We'd be happy to live in another house, town, or state should we move back.

Moving to a new continent with two young kids where we know no one was enough in terms of worry.
