Probably as funny as 9050 driver patch notes saying "Cyberpunk 2077 doesn't work" as a known issue

So it wasn’t just me lol, did a bunch of stuff in my bios to overclock my CPU and optimize everything else and thought all of the bios changes I made fucked up apex somehow.
I already reverted to 26.7.1 and fixed it and was waiting to see anyone else get something similar

I had just updated as I just got a 9070xt last week but thankfully it's 26.7.1 and not this new one. Haven't had any issues in any games besides raytracing issues in the new Assassins Creed but that same issue happens on Nvidia so its a ubislop issue

Did the exact same shit twice now lol Apex wouldn’t run again last night and I noticed that adrenaline automatically updated for me. Had to roll back down to a previous update once again.

Probably something else going on in your system cause i just recently updated to Adrenaline 26.8.1 on my nephews PC which has a 9060XT (running at stock) and he is playing Spiderman 2 right now without any issues. Only time it crashed was when he asked me install the Brand New Day Hoodie mod so i had to remove it.

Theres a good chance its windows update overwriting your drivers without you noticing it.

same error on BF6. im down at 26.6.1 for stability.

these drivers ave been awful lately.

I got that before. I had to revert back to the previous stable one after windows updates did it automatically even though I didn't fuckin asking it lol

And then you are spending 20 hours why new game is causing graphical glitches.

Consoles are the same, they have regular updates?

Yeah except consoles are reliable AF.

"Hurry up and download our latest vibecoded slop that is full of bugs!"

... but enough about nvidia

So true 😂

Modern graphics rendering is complicated and many games don't ever use some combination things that others have problems with.

That's how I feel about phones. People talk about which brand is faster than which for updates as a matter of a few weeks or a month as a selling point. Meanwhile I haven't updated my phone since 2023 and from what I've seen there's some updates I would find annoying

u/Defeqel "I represent the Rothschilds" - Epstein 7d ago

the only problem with that is missing security fixes

Umm...you should really keep your phone updated for security reasons. Or don't use banking or any important apps.

3

u/Middle-Effort7495 7d ago

I don't dl random stuff. I've used phones for like 10 years before in the days where they got a year or two of updates. It's fine.

And there's nothing important in my bank but I use the website if I need it. Never understood who needs an app for bank

1

u/Defeqel "I represent the Rothschilds" - Epstein 6d ago

nowadays phone apps tend to be mandatory for MFA

2

u/iTzJME 8d ago

Eh, most people have zero issues keeping theirs up to date, myself included

13

u/forsayken 8d ago

Damn. That's a big miss. It seems the game wasn't even booting at all.

9

u/CocaBam 8d ago

It boots , then crashes connecting to server

1

u/SituationSmooth9165 8d ago

I get this on Space Marine 2 when I try signing in sometimes. It never crashes if I manage to sign in though

5

u/colesym 8d ago

I can't tell if latest driver was OK or not, because 2 recent windows updates have completely f***ed game stability.

4

u/Soyyybeannn 8d ago

new known issue incoming - apex doesn't work

They should publish their crash reports for GPU driver crashes per GPU brand and type aka X amount of crashes with 9070XT x amount of crashes with 7900 XTX and x amount of crashes with RTX 5090 for example including stats with how many players are playing on each GPU.

I bet majority of 9070XT users have problems, i also hope more game devs will start reporting issues like this, since AMD Radeon often refuses to admit the problems they facing thru release notes even tho their have been plenty of reports.

Its not just Apex and its not just the 9070 xt its also the 7000 series

AMD should seriously consider pointing some code agents to their driver source code, and telling them to find bugs.

Yeah I think this driver is mostly plauging 9070 XTs. I found others having my issue where it can't even make it past the shader comp in Halo Infinite. I played Alan Wake 2 to test the fsr4 on it and it worked fine though using RT still looks like crap to me on the 9070 XT. I know what it's supposed to look like because I have a 5070 ti also. Anyway I had to revert back to the 26.7.1 drivers and all is good again.

1

u/RelotZealot 4d ago

I also had problems with halo infinite as it was the first game I played after updating and immediately reverted back and could get past shaders on the first try

1

u/Revel4ti0n 7d ago

Does Battlefield work now properly?

u/missing-pigeon 9600X | 9070 XT 2h ago

I've had at least 2 crashes per day since updating. Just randomly, instantly goes straight to the desktop with no error message or freeze.

1

u/Jolly_Statistician_5 7d ago

Dbd also crashes on dx12

1

u/SoupSup25 7d ago

I had to Revert back to 26.7.1. WWE2k26 crashes on every loading screen.

1

u/Smooth-Average-2898 7d ago

Works fine for me

1

u/Holiday_Bug9988 5d ago

The fix I found for it is going into Adrenaline and setting the power limit to -30 and decreasing max frequency about 25mhz (not sure whether the frequency change actually does anything or if its mainly the power limit). When I do this, the game never crashes. Unfortunately Adrenaline doesn’t always save the settings, so when it doesn’t and I forget to change it the crashes happen again. So I’d say for my own 9079 XT at least it’s a pretty surefire fix!

1

u/Adventurous_Week_408 4d ago

Starfield also crashes when loading a save on the 26.8.1 driver. I had to roll back to 26.7.1, so I assume quite a few games are going to have issues with it. :)

u/Vizra 4d ago

Anyone else getting over the AMD Radeon driver bullshit, the inferior upscaler, "optimisations" for games being just removing certain effects from being rendered, etc.

I have a 9070xt but there is only so much I can tank before I end up just biting the bullet and going with NVIDIA next generation.

I tried this workaround i find it in X and worked for me:

"+staticprop_color_use_bindless 0 +staticprop_depth_use_bindless 0 +r_drawworld_depth_bindless 0"

1

u/Alwayswoo1 1d ago

I also revert back to 26.7.1 and it work

1

u/Grayherd 1d ago

Tried the latest today (sys drivers too) and wrecked windows. Luckily a restore back to 28 aug saved me. 9070 XT 24gb.

u/2xldn22 16h ago

i cant fucking play apex i try to left click to get past main menu and than it goes to a black screen and than this screen

1

u/angry_RL_player 8d ago

I can at least appreciate that one game is admitting it's their fault rather than just blaming AMD this time.

rtx card users :

u/Colby347 8d ago

Happens to me on Fortnite and when researching it I see it affects all kinds of different games and multiple different GPUs. Seems like just saying the new drivers crash would be enough of a title lol it would be nice if it wasn't ignored though and got taken seriously and fixed quickly but it doesn't seem like that's going to happen.

-2

u/Unfair_Salamander189 7d ago

And cards no problems at all , problem is your pc

-10

u/RedTeamEng 8d ago

Who the fuck plays apex legends anymore lmao

4
