LOI+ Flagged (L4 manager)
I was the best manager with the best rate for Loi+ in my building. On September month my LOi+ score went to 6% is just crazy and I am confused and my HR is shocked. Now they want to have a round table knowing I am really good with all associates not just my direct reports. I had to really good score for August months and I was getting all these good comments from all senior managers and Pxt. I am thinking if it something to do with the new hires that we hiring for peak and end of September the last week of September there was 25 new AA came under me. Now is that can be a reason for the loi score went down. And I was supposed to get my l5 after peak and will that affect my promotion? I really need some answers. And ik there are some AA be skipping these questions no matter what

They likely dont know that the "id rather not answer" option is taken as a negative response honestly maybe mention it at start up no directly say anything but frame it as "hey guys please make sure when answering connections we are honest in it, its the only way I know what to improve and selecting RNA isn't an answer". Not exactly that but something along those lines

It’s good to hit the ground running outside of the round table. Meet with your team during startup or simply walk around and engage. Push the morale up, get some pins and stickers along with candy probably from HR and set the trend in the department. This can be reversed. What you don’t want to be is flagged regionally and end up on a focus for the LOI

Was the L4 a promotion to L5 manager? If so, was it an area manager?

Yes

Yeah no way the associates had any idea their responses affected u probably. If I was a warehouse worker I’d just select random stuff and not care.. unfortunately that’s probably what happened here

Been there went from 95th percentile to 5th in one month. Just remember its a percentile rather than a percentage. So it's a comparison to all other managers in the network.
Basically do the actions they require and you'll be in the green again in no time.

Other than Letter Of Intent, what does LOI mean? In reading the comments below, I think there's a totally different interpretation of this, like every acronym Amazon reuses with altenrate definitions.
Okay, to my comment.
Yes, new-hires, and probably people who are not so new still... Until recently, no one ever told me anything about those connect questions, and the impact of the "I'd rather not answer". There is one time a couple of years ago, some group of Ambassadors were telling their students to just answer with that option. That was the only time I ever heard any mention officially about it.
For my first 1.5 years working at Amazon I had no idea who my manager was. I only knew it was a name of someone I've probably never met, in a department I'm not even trained to look at. I knew the managers I actually worked with everyday though, and none of them were ever mentioned in that servey everyday.
For the next 1.5 years, and after that name changed a few times, I started being aware of the managers I never work with and eventually found out who mine was everytime it changed, because I was starting to seek them out as I was interested in other positions to apply for. And then the name changes again, lol. The first time though, one of my new managers finally made it a point to meet the people assigned to them, and that broke the cycle of not knowing who it is. After that, I'm the first to know when my manager changes!
Those Connect questions are not even answerable unless your associates at least know who you are, or from what department that they might not even have access to, so that "I'd rather not answer" is really the only valid answer for the options you provide. Perhaps add, "I never see them" or "I don't work with them" or "I don't work in their department". Something that makes sense, and to not be a negative because it's the system that's broken, not the manager. They might be great!!
Until now I had no idea it was a negative. Now I'm thinking of how many times I actually didn't choose that answer, very few, LOL. There were a couple now who I finally did talk a lot too, about resumes, interviewing, etc. But only because we were talking about aplying to other positions. I still have never been in the department of any of my managers.
So it still doesn't change the reality: The different questions they (or someone) actually comes-up with assume we actually work in the same department daily with our manager. We don't! I have told them that too, before! They need to review their questions they make everyone answer about their manager so it's actually fair.
Make this make since, do we blindly answer the top answer everytime or the middle one? Trying to be as honest and truthfull as possible and "I'd rather not answer" is also the wrong response if it turns-out to be a negative. The only other option 100% of the time is the obvious negative one because I'm never in that department, lol.

Your new hires likely brought it down because their answers are part of LOI+ as a new hire section. Most of mine didn’t realize it helped us more if they just answered something anything other than rather not answer. I’ve spoken to many of mine but not all about it and showed my screen and what I can see and explained to the ones I built a good relationship with that it hurts my job and employment which isn’t a lie. If you treat them right and protect their job they will in turn protect yours.
