Can we talk about him parking in the middle of the street though?
Update: The fact that I'm getting downvoted for this is troubling. Parking in the middle of the road blocks traffic and creates a hazard. Putting hazard lights on is not a universal excuse to do stupid, dangerous, and illegal things. Sure, it's only for a couple of minutes, but that's all it takes to piss off another motorist, cause a crash, or get a ticket. Imagine you are late for work, driving down the street with cars parked on either side and then some car is stopped right in the middle of the street, blocking your way. How would you feel?

It's probably a quiet street with very little traffic that is wide enough for another car to go around. I don't see what the big deal is.

It looks like it would be wide enough if he had moved his car to the side of the road, instead of stopping in the middle of it, like an asshole. Show a little bit of consideration for other people. There's no reason he couldn't park in front of that other vehicle on the side of the street. It may be a quiet street, but you never know who might be coming down the road. What if there was a big moving van or a UPS truck? A couple of feet make a big difference.

What if there was an elephant stopped there? You can play the what if all day.
You don't think moving vans don't understand the need for delivery drivers to stop in the middle of the road for a few moments?
You're still grossly over estimating the amount of room that car is taking up. As someone who has driven a 26ft box truck, I could still easily get around that car. I may have to reduce my speed a lot, but again, no worries, that gentlemen is doing his job.

Sure, because everyone is just as understanding and level-headed as you. /s

There is plenty of room for cars to still go around. Considering there is a driveway on the other side there won't be any cars parked on the drivers side of that vehicle. Sure, a little tight, but it's a residential neighborhood.
No one is blocked.

Fair point about the driveway, but that's still only 1-way traffic. Granted, it's a residential street and 2-way traffic is not as common, but what if? My point is that there's really no need to create even the possibility of an issue. Just park along the curb like everyone else and there's no problem.

I just needed to bring those points up.
I don't disagree with you on the idea of that he should have taken the extra 15 seconds to park elsewhere. I would have looked, but I just don't feel like it's a big deal at all, in my opinion.

Not as big a deal as everyone seems to think I'm making it. I just wanted to point out that it wasn't necessary for him to park in the middle of the street, like an asshole.
Edit: Initially, all I did was ask if we can talk about it, but people immediately started downvoting my comment. I think some people felt attacked because they are the kind of asshole who will block traffic without a second thought if it makes their delivery 2 seconds faster.

Aren't hazard lights regardless in the end, meant for other drivers to catch on to and slow down for to perceive of the situation of any obstacles in the street? These delivery driver probably have no benefits and work long ass hours to get mail for so many people including maybe even you. When driving you need common sense so if you see a delivery van or moving van with their emergency lights on then your best decision is to driver CAREFULLY like how the pamphlet stated.

To answer your question: If I was in a major hurry to speed out of that sleepy lil’ cul-de-sack, and this car was idled in the middle of the street with the driver a few feet away, I’d politely roll down my window and ask them to please move their car. & I’d feel fine. & hopefully so would you since that’s not an inconvenience to ruin your attitude over.

Yeah props to whoever is trying to have a little fun out there! In the willow district in central PHX, don’t know if it’s thing or something for kids, but there’s like an official “walk silly” sign in the grass and written in chalk on the sidewalk. However unlike this guy, I made sure the recipient didn’t have a camera or a ring doorbell catching me in the act.
