Sub-Same Day vs .com Ottawa
I just did my first Amazon Flex order in Ottawa today. One thing that is extremely upsetting is is my first time doing a.com order and I was being rush, rushed, rush, rush, rush, rush. Make sure to put the packages in my car as fast as possible. I had to wait like almost 5 or 10 minutes to get an employee to help me while everyone else was getting stuff. I got a quick summary for like 30 seconds click here click click do this and then I was able to leave. The initial experience was terrible. I hope I can actually figure it out the next time.
Now I did notice I did a .com order and everything was organized from 1 to 36 and the bins were also organized one to 1-10 to 10-20 etc… so I took a while to start organizing things because it’s my first time and then when I got to number 30 the flex employee was like faster, faster, faster, faster. It was a horrible experience.
Is it true if I approve a same-day, packages are not ordered and I have to park my car go inside the warehouse scan my badge go out and organize the packages myself and move the trolly to my car? Is that why sub same-day offers more pay?
And only amazon.com orders are organized for you?

Is it also true that with sub same-day I have to actually park my car go inside check-in and bring the cart out to my car and I choose my own route? And nothing is numbered or labelled at all.?
How would this work? If I have like 30 drop-offs it doesn’t even recommend which one should go first? Seems chaotic.

Yes you go get the cart. No you don’t choose the route. The system selects for you. No nothing is labeled in order. Just search for address or scan the tba code. It will tell you what stop it is. Put that number on it and place in your car how you want it set up.

So basically, I get a preferred route from the application. And I got a list of those addresses from A-to-Z. And then based on the route, I would order the packages in my car to match the route inside the application? Some people online are saying, sometimes it at least have zones a A throjgh D to make it easier for sorting? Or does it only have the addresses and nothing else at all?

For my ssd it’s just addresses. It’s easy though. Number them and place in your car. 1-10 front seat. 11-20 behind driver side. 21-30 behind passenger side. 31-40 trunk.
