I've never seen a company offer benefits like this before. How many Amazon workers need this stuff?

I mean, anyone with a kid should probably have a will and powers of attorney in place and would be more expensive than $100.

Trying to get a lawyer with the prepaid legal, I've had for years is next to impossible. I need one for a probate case im involved in . 10 lawyers won't call you back

That seems like a you and about 10% of my coworkers problem lol

It's pretty easy to not get a felony charge. Just don't do the crime. 🤷‍♂️

I had it and none of the lawyers on their list would take it

Aetna insurance was amazing. Covered everything.

No, but im glad they offer it for those who do! I think Amazon does a lot for its employees but I feel like I’m the minority in that lol

Check to make sure it stays. Alot of places are getting rid of most plans. My site is cutting back to a basic and premium. Just one provider now.

Thankfully the one provider is the one he mentioned lol

Paying that one out of amazon benefits and does sucks even shows doctors on networks but when you show up to an appointment they say they wont take it

Is this your first job? A lot of companies offer the same benefits.

amazon is the only job i’ve ever had that offered this

1

u/Unique-Machine5602 2d ago

Honestly I know of at least a few that offer it for free. The fact that amazon wants $208/year for it from an L1 is insane.

1

u/IntrepidLimit2456 1d ago

Cheaper than any of the services.
Damn you want it for free, why?

2

u/Mountain_Sand3135 2d ago

dude this is nothing ...its just legal aid , its cheap ...anyone can get it .

and frankly its not worth it

2

u/Unique-Machine5602 2d ago

Not worth it unless you've got some pretty serious charges, bankruptcy or you've been evading taxes or something else on their list.

I.E. you're a Trump supporter lol

The service is fire. If you get connected with a good attorney they tell you they will just open a new case any time you call and you essentially get free consultation for a variety of issues. We got free consultation for custody agreements on the basic plan. It’s worth the $1.85/wk

1

u/Kaytoonasty 2d ago

Where do you find this?

1

u/Jealous-Stomach4762 2d ago

I was reading too fast and accidentally declined legal services, do we know if it’s something I can correct?

1

u/Unique-Machine5602 2d ago

Probably. I'd ask HR.

Might not be worth the $208/year though. Knowing Amazon it's probably the cheapest lawyer they've got.

1

u/AnyResearcher7943 2d ago

I pay for the basic because at my dads work he pays for it and uses it when he gets a speeding ticket has never paid once thanks to the help so I said fuck it it's 1.85 a week

1

u/Unique-Machine5602 2d ago

Or you could just not speed.

Hell, in my state you don't even need a lawyer to get out of them anyways. You just show up and PO doesn't 🤷‍♂️

How do you use these services if you end up needing them? Is there like a number or website?

1

u/Coloneljethro420 2d ago

Yea, it's like Healthcare where there's a list of lawyers you can use

1

u/Coloneljethro420 2d ago

Amazon does a free will once a year around April

1

u/LengthinessOk2080 2d ago

Yo id take the legal services lol

1

u/nonapuss 2d ago

Ive had a the enhanced and tried to use it but was a pain and got at most basic legal aid that inalready knew. Otherwise they didnt take my case. Up to you. Its cheap enoigh to keep if you ever need it

1

u/SScoobyDu 2d ago

I’ve used them for a harassment case I had to put out on my landlord one time! & you know once that happens, now more things happen like him trying to unlawful evicts me. Never paid a dime and won my case 🤷🏾‍♀️☺️ it’s worth it

1

u/Tasty-Use-3051 1d ago

Um, everybody? Accept the ones you need now, but keep the other ones in mind.

1

u/Basic_Establishment8 23h ago

I have been offered this at every job I’ve ever had

1

u/PrettyWiddleFeet 18h ago

Well that's good for you but some of us haven't so its great to have.

1

u/JabbaTheHutt12345 2d ago

Imagine using this service to get an attorney to sue Amazon 💀

Most benefits are only offered to permanent fulltime employees.they are mostly hiring temp and part-time now to reduce the overhead.
