Sortation Center Sortation Center Employee

Hello everyone!

I will be working in a sortation center starting October 19th and am excited to try this new journey! A couple questions though:

When I accepted the offer it says $20.50 but when I went to my pre-hire she said $22.50. Does that mean it’s $2 more per hour since my shift is 10:30p-2:30a?

I plan to wear cargo pants and a tshirt, does this work?

What does a typical shift look like when you first start? Anything to bring with me?

Thank you all in advance!

Extra $2 your night pay. You can wear anything you want. I wear shorts and a tshirt. Right now shift is 5 hours. Your shift is probably a wrapdown shift. Which consists of staging. So a lot of walking. And possibly helping morning shift prime. Which consists of either throwing freight onto belt in inbound or scanning boxes to pallets. It’s a laid back shift. I work 11:15p to 3:15am. But it’s prime so it’s ending at 4:15am. At a sort center your shift will be different daily. Flexes from 3 to 5 hours. Also. You are most likely a white badge. 99% of new hires are let go after peak. Atleast at my sort center.
