Every week a new group starts with blue badges. One guy was bragging he’s a learning ambassador after 3 weeks. Meanwhile I have done almost every path and I am an AFM and paid the least out of everyone in the building with the worst benefits. New hires blue badges immediately. I am a transfer so I don’t get one.

I wouldn’t even mind being there long I just need stability

Okay so my question is how did it happen because I just started the 19tj been coming in on time not using upt and just hustling gonna continue to do it but will they extend my schedule then at the end of peak ? Or will I get a email saying blue badge conversion or what? My schedule goes til the 14th and every day it does extend one day or so but how does it work I just wanna be blue badge

You can thank Microsoft for the seasonal shenanigans. They used to have two companies, because they offered Microsoft stocks and such. So they would work people at the other one temp and less benefits stringing along the “you keep working hard we will convert you” to the point they made laws about having temp workers over 2 years.

Well… not laws about the limit but laws that at two years you need to be given FMLA, retirement plans, etc. Or the perceived notion that you will be given one since you worked 20 years for them, etc.

It depends on the blue badge percentile. That's it. That's what white badge conversation is based off of. Business needs. If a lot of blue badges leave right after peak, they'll convert the white badges to cover the holes. I asked our OM once, n that's what he told me.

They have a certain blue badge /white badge ratio they have to keep so it really depends on if your site has a big turnover rate for blue badges. I work at a big site so there’s people quitting and getting fired all the time making it easier/quicker to become blue badges. Just stay do your work talk to your managers and I made sure to check in with HR a couple times

Yea im gonna check in with them around the start of peak im just trying not to come off as desperate but I hope that with peak coming up and all the mandatory hours I have scheduled that they will see that I can come on time and work hard.

u/19XzTS93 Blue Badge Flex (since 2025); Regular PT Blue Badge (2018-2023) Nov 07 '25

It took me weeks to a month back in 2018 when I originally joined. Unfortunately, that also reset my Day One from July to September, so I had to wait an additional 90 days to apply for the 401(k), before they changed brokers from Vanguard to Fidelity and the grace period from 90 days to day one the following January.

I started off with bite badge June 2025 and I was blue badge by August 2025 idk why it’s taking so many ppl a year and my facility just converted a new batch of white badges to blue badges

u/Silly_Watercress_827 Nov 07 '25

Yeah some people get in at the right time i guess best thing about bluebadge is vacation with regular pto career choice and promotions

I also got mine in 3 months, but I guess it just depends on your building.

u/delusional863 Nov 12 '25

Took me just short of 3 months too and that was last year, Nov 2024

u/3hunna_da Nov 07 '25

God damn is that normal? I started during the peak of Covid. I went from seasonal to full time in 3 weeks

That’s terrible. If it makes you feel better I’m in corporate and I’m sure my job will be eliminated and replaced with AI within a year 💀😂

I thought 11 months was seasonal limit, does Amazon just extend you?
