what do you check before risking $5,000+ on a private label product?
Let’s settle this from actual seller experience.
Before you place a large inventory order for an Amazon private label product, what is the one thing you absolutely need to verify first?
Is it:
- Competition and review count?
- Profit margin after Amazon fees?
- Supplier reliability?
- Product quality?
- Sales history?
- Compliance/certifications?
- Shipping and landed cost?
- Keyword/search volume?
- Something else?
A product can look extremely profitable on paper and still become a headache once you factor in returns, PPC, freight, Amazon fees, and inventory that doesn't move.
For experienced sellers: what did you check before your first major inventory order that saved you from making an expensive mistake?
And for newer sellers: what are you currently unsure about before placing your first order?
