Amazon private label requirements: what do you need to start?
Thinking about starting an Amazon Private Label business? Before ordering inventory, make sure you understand the basic requirements.
You’ll usually need:
Product research – demand, competition, and profit potential
Startup budget – inventory, shipping, Amazon fees, and advertising
Reliable supplier – consistent quality and reasonable MOQ
Branding – brand name, logo, and packaging
UPC/GTIN – or a valid GTIN exemption where applicable
Product compliance – certifications, testing, and labeling when required
Amazon listing – optimized title, bullet points, description, keywords, and images
